I've been itching to start a little blog to (randomly!) post some of the great moments in our backyard & surrounding countryside.......

Our redbud tree (Cercis canadensis) in bloom a couple of weeks ago

Last night, one of the swallow nests in our barn had their offspring lined up on the wire.  I took a photo with my fish eye camera, but won't be able to see the results until I have the film developed.  Tonight, they were back on the wire, but in a much more orderly fashion.

They were staring intently while I focused the camera, and Mother (or Father) was a few feet away chirping a warning (probably beware of the big bad human)
